Backwoods Ventures runs out of Mannville, Alberta — a small town on the Yellowhead with more spruce and poplar than people. We sell wood-processing equipment because it's what we use ourselves: sawmills, firewood processors, chippers, trailers, and the attachments that go with them.

We're not a big dealership. When you call, you get Tim. We keep parts on the shelf for the machines we sell, we answer the phone after the sale, and we'd rather point you at the right-sized machine than the expensive one.

Come out for a demo before you buy. Run the mill, cut a log, split a round, and see if it suits your operation. That's the fastest way to know, and it's how most of our customers end up deciding.
